Originally from County Antrim, Emily came to Dublin to attend Trinity College. In 2013, she took the position of Volunteer Manager with Solas Project. Her responsibilities include recruitment of long and short term volunteers, intern support and volunteer training. Emily also assists staff with day-to-day volunteer management, develops policies relating to child protection and oversees the Garda Vetting process.
Emily is proud of the work Solas Project is doing in the community and sees that none of it would be possible without well-equipped volunteers. She values her opportunity to communicate Solas Project's vision with volunteers, potential volunteers, sending organisations and third parties, as well as working closely with youth cultivators to engage volunteers.
Outside of work, Emily spends a lot of time with her one-year-old son who is fun and full of mischief! She enjoys walking outdoors, swimming in the sea, yoga, music, reading and dinner parties with friends. She holds a B.A. in French and Hispanics from TCD. Her other qualifications include:
