As a cultivator in Solas Project's Compass Programme, Philip is responsible for developing activities to engage prison-based participants. He also initiates individual pre-release care plans for prisoners who have expressed interest in being supported in their communities post-release. Phil mentors these young people in the community after they've returned home, working with them as they navigate personal and legal issues, along with organising education training enrollment.

Phil is dedicated to working with and supporting people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Over the last twenty years, he has worked with various organisations, such as Coolmine, the Salvation Army and Lifeline Recovery. He has been a member of the Solas Project team since 2014.

In his free time, Phil enjoys spending time with his son Bobby and their dog Olaf.
