What is abseiling?

Abseiling is the controlled descent down a rock face or cliff using rope and specialist equipment.

What is the challenge?

The Solas Project Abseilling Challenge requires repelling 140 feet from the roof of the Hogan Stand at Croke Park! This will be an exciting, once in a lifetime, bucket-list experience. It may be scary. It will definitely be fun.

Why?

Aside from the adrenaline rush, you'll also be supporting Solas Project in its mission to create opportunities for young people in the Liberties and Dublin 8.

When?

Saturday 14th May 2022 9am - 1pm

TO TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE:

  1. Register your name and interest by emailing Olive Ojo, olive@solasproject.ie
    (Places are strictly limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.)

  2. Pay a €120 registration fee. Label the payment, “Abseiling 2022”.

  3. Visit iDonate to set up your own online fundraising page.

  4. Start fundraising! Share your page to reach the goal of €500.

  5. Join the fun, confront your fears and abseil from the roof of Croke Park!
